A Bundle of Team Work: Whiz Kids

Each week, Naperville Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments.

We want to hear about these amazing children and teens and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid. This week, we couldn't choose just one Whiz Kid. We've chosen 18. That's right. And each one deserves it. Let's see why!

○      Whiz Kid's Name: The Clubhouse Class at

○      Whiz Kid's Age: Kindergarten through fourth grade student group

○      Whiz Kid's School:

○      Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: The class has adopted an underprivileged child in a third world country.

○      Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness (what made him/her successful?): There's nothin' like a little good ol' teamwork and these Compass School students have proven that time and time again. Staff are incredibly proud of these kids and their teachers, who month after month, work hard to help raise money for their sponsored friend. Chala is an Ethiopian child that these children feel connected to; they feel the need to help Chala in any way they can. So they do! They hold regular bake sales to earn money that's donated to the child in need. The Clubhouse Kids have the whole school motivated to contribute to this wonderful cause.
