One-Stop-Shop: Benedictine event makes transferring quick and easy

Transfer students interested in attending Benedictine University for the Spring 2014 Semester can complete all of their application paperwork and register for classes in a single day during “One-Stop-Shop” appointments held throughout December and January.

The event is designed to help students interested in the University’s traditional daytime programs get through the entire enrollment process within a few hours. They can apply, become admitted and register so they don’t have to wait until the summer or fall to resume working toward a degree.

Students must bring all official transcripts, be in good academic standing, have a minimum 2.0 GPA and a minimum of 20 transferable semester credit hours (students with lower than the required minimum credit hours must satisfy freshmen admissions requirements).

Prospective students can meet with Admissions, New Student Advising Center and Financial Aid  representatives in Lownik Hall from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23; Monday-Tuesday, December 30-31; Thursday-Friday, January 2-3; or Monday-Friday, January 6-10.

The first day of classes for the spring semester is Monday, January 13.

According to AffordableCollegesOnline.org, Benedictine University is ranked among the top 25 most affordable Catholic colleges and universities in the country with the highest starting salaries earned by graduates.

Benedictine students receive a values-based, Catholic education that prepares them to defy the status quo and reach their full potential.

Whether receiving personal instruction from teachers with the highest degrees in their fields, conducting research, participating in internships or applying to a pool of more than $300,000 in academic University-based scholarships, academic opportunities abound. Benedictine students challenge themselves every day and gain a greater perspective on the world through study abroad trips, guest lecturers, music concerts, student clubs and athletic teams.
