The Naperville City Council will host a Community Development Block Grant and Social Services Grant workshop next week to discuss funding priorities for the two grant programs.
The workshop will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 27 in the City Council Chambers of the , 400 S. Eagle St. While no public feedback or comment will be accepted during the workshop, the workshop is open to the public, including previous recipients of both grant programs and all others who are interested in applying for grants in the future.
The workshop is being held to discuss funding priorities based on feedback that was given at a July public meeting where participants learned about potential funding opportunities that are available through the two programs.
Participants were allowed to provide feedback through an online survey, which was then opened to the general public for the month following the public meeting so that additional comments could be accepted. Following the workshop, any changes to the Community Development Block Grant or Social Services Grant program will be formally adopted by the city council at a regularly scheduled city council meeting.
