Winter Weather Warning In Effect Until Friday Morning

The city of Naperville has an interactive map where residents can find the latest information on plowing progress.

Snow is expected to continue falling at a rate of a half-inch to an inch an hour through the night, according to the National Weather Service. And, a winter storm warning remains in effect until 9 a.m. Friday.

The is continuing its winter weather operations and has 23 city plows and seven contractors out plowing, with a total of 50 plows expected to be out later today as cul-de-sac clearing takes place, according to a news release from the city.

Residents can stay up to date on plowing through the city’s regularly interactive map. Residents can search using their address for specific snow removal progress at http://gis.naperville.il.us/mashups/snowroutes. The city also has a mobile friendly page http://bit.ly/napersnow. The city said in its news release that calls about the winter storm should continue to be directed to City Dispatch at (630) 420-6187. Regular updates about plowing are posted at www.naperville.il.us.
