Street Closures Taking Place Saturday Due to 5k Event

The city of Naperville is reminding residents that some streets in southeast Naperville will be closed this Saturday due to the Crime Stopper's Running Scared 5K event. 

A large portion of Wehrli Road south of 75th Street as well as side streets will be closed at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. The race begins at 8 a.m. starting at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 2220 Lisson Rd., according to the city of Naperville.  

The run requires temporary street closures to last until 10:30 a.m. Race route streets are re-opened to traffic as soon as the Naperville Police Department determines it is safe.

Motorists should expect delays throughout the morning hours in and around the race route area and take alternate routes or allow extra time to get to their destination. A color-coded map of the street closures is located on the City’s website atwww.naperville.il.us/walkrun.aspx.
