Is Geneva for Obama, or Is Geneva for Romney? Take Our Patch Straw Poll!

We're just wondering: Is Geneva a "Red" community or a "Blue" community? Let us know by making your vote in our Geneva Patch straw poll.

Are you a Barack Obama fan or a Mitt Romney supporter?

We've seen the analysis of which states will be designated red or blue in the coming November election, but what about Geneva? Where do we stand in 2012?

Let us know by taking our Geneva Patch straw poll. Please vote only if you live in Geneva or are in the Geneva School District or Library District. We'd like this to be a true Geneva vote.

Patch central has made up some buttons for Geneva residents who want to show their support of either candidate. If you'd like one, just let me know in the comments field or send me a note on the Geneva Patch Facebook page.

Lisa, what about the environment, education, woman's health and pay rights, and helping the neediest among us? Do you believe a woman should go to jail for terminating a pregnancy that was caused by rape or incest. Many of your Republican "friends" do. Lotsa stuff to consider. DId you know that the reason union folk's pensions seem rather generous is because they bargained down their salaries? What GEA are you referring to?

That's rather absurd. "Many of your republican friends do". That comment is off base in pretty much every way. Instead of spreading incredible lies based on a few stereotypes that you perpetuate to feed your own belief system... Why don't you just tell a first time voter "good job". FYI, a few stupid comments made by politicians don't describe everybody in a party. If they did, both sides and inbetween would be a mess. Lisa. - good job on voting. Keep at it. For the rest of your life people will try and get you to bend to their view points. Peer pressure is not a reason to vote for a candidate. Have a great week!

Let's see, I said many, not "everybody in the party" as you did, Justin. If "Republican friends" came off as sarcastic, I apologize, Lisa. It was not my intent. I intended a friendly tone, thats why "I said lots of stuff to consider"...just throwing it out there, since Lisa stated she based her decision to vote a straight Republican ticket based on two issues. There are currently about 10 Republican congressman who hold that view on abortion, Justin. Perhaps I'll verify the names for you when I get the time. The Republican Party has moved incredibly, and crazily to the right in the last several years. If you don't see that Justin, you have blinders on.

Justin - "government handouts" and I was civil. I said "please." It is my opinion that you are confused, and I know you are going to discount my view out of hand.
