Holiday 2011: Holiday Closures and Garbage Pick-Up
Here are some of the closures in Naperville over Christmas and the New Year.
While the malls are overcrowded with last minute shoppers, not everything will be open for business over the holidays. The library, parks and the city of Naperville will be closed or operating with different hours.
City of Naperville Closures and Garbage Collection
The also is reminding residents that the Naperville Municipal Center will be closed on Friday through Monday in observance of Christmas. The Municipal Center will also be closed Jan. 2, in observance of New Year’s Day.

Residents should be aware that there will be no garbage collection on Monday, Dec. 26. Also, garbage collection will not take place on Jan. 2. Garbage and recycling will be collected one day later than normally scheduled during these two weeks.

Naperville Public Library
The Naperville Public Library will be closed on Saturday and Sunday. Normal operating hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. will resume on Monday.
Drive-up returns for all materials are available 24 hours a day at the , 200 W. Jefferson Ave.; the , 2035 S. Naper Blvd.; and the , 3015 Cedar Glade Dr. Materials may also be renewed over the phone by calling 630-961-0460. The Library Catalog is also available 24 hours, 7 days a week for readers to download or renew materials.
Naperville Park District Holiday Operating Schedule
Several Park District facilities will be running under special holiday hours or closed.
The , 320 W. Jackson Ave., and the South Maintenance Facility, 3415 Book Road, will be closed Saturday through Monday, reopening on Tuesday. The facilities will close again Dec. 31-Jan. 1, reopening on Jan. 2
The , 305 W. Jackson Ave., will be closed Saturday through Monday. The center will only be open on Christmas for the 28th annual Christmas Luncheon for Seniors. The center will reopen on Tuesday. The center will close again for the New Year’s holiday from Dec. 31 to Jan. 1.
, 421 W. Martin Ave., will be closed Saturday and Sunday. The Barn will be open on Monday for Holiday Break Camp. The Barn closes again Dec. 31 to Jan. 1.
& Golf Courses will close at noon on Saturday and remain closed through Monday, reopening on Dec. 27. The golf courses will be closed again from Dec. 31 to Jan. 2.
