This was such a cool idea. I wish they did this when I went to NNHS with Obama/McCain.

This speaks more to the lack of teaching civics, American history including the founding fathers and our beloved Constitution by the left wing progressive teachers who despise anything good this great country has done in the past.
When developing minds are only exposed to their socialistic ideologies of anti-free market capitalism, bigger government, redistribution of wealth, anti-religion and crap like GLBT espouses all of which is advocated and supported by the Democrat Party what would you expect?

Dummies!

No Gerald, it speaks to the fact that kids are given the opportunity to think for themselves rather than have right wing ideologies impossed on them - as seems to be the goal of your party.
Vera, as usual, your comment only reflects back on your own simple-mindedness.

As my children have advanced in school, I've seen them exposed to more and more right wing opinions. Although my initial reaction was to want to block that message, I've learned to let it be, they are then able to listen to many opinions including those they hear at home and decide for themselves.

It seems the author didn't read the chart; the smart students at Hinsdale Central and Benet chose Romney.

Hi Blue Sky,
Thank you for pointing that out, It's been corrected. Collin

Realizing wanting people as politicians and civil servants who are honest, patriotic and believe the country was founded on Christian principles and guaranteed freedoms is an ideology, I am guilty as charged.
Not burdening my children and grandchildren with impossible debt which eventually will lead to generational warfare is an ideology, again guilty as charged. The current administration and some past ones (both parties) are amoral not immoral as the latter implies they know the difference. Rand would turn over in her grave using her main character’s name in vain. Perhaps you might consider using Castro. Lennon or Mao instead as a name sake.

Obama wins!

Moot point. They can't vote.
And anytime the ultra-liberal League Of Women Voters is involved, the entire exercise is suspect.

Curious that Metea Valley is not on the list and what ground is really being broken here??? The young voters lean left - stop the presses!

For the ten trillionth time on Patch, the pot calls the kettle black.
Are you going through "the change of life" or something, Vera? What a pathetic excuse for a human being you are ...
jose October 30, 2012 at 03:35 pm
that's how the schools teach the young ones. good schools like Benet actually have a clue in life. I grad from nnhs in 2006. my senior year I told my American govt teacher I was republican and 2 days later my counselor removed me from the class not giving a reason. I found out later on why the lazy liberal teacher wanted me out
The Sentinel November 6, 2012 at 01:11 am
Patch, why are you rerunning this? The kids CXAN'T VOTE so whatever they decided is moot. Plus, did you READ the end of the story? The League Of Women Voters was in charge of this sham election...one of the most ultra-denocrat organizations there is. Because they are involved, tthe results of this "election" are not only suspect but probably rigged. If this election was to be taken seriously, it should have been run by an independent organization. Shame on you Patch.
