Delays Expected at Major Naperville Intersections as Traffic Signals Get Upgrades

The traffic signals will not be functioning and stop signs will be displayed at those intersections.

Traffic signals at three major intersections along Ogden Avenue in Naperville will go dark next week. 

Delays are expected as the Illinois Department of Transportation will be be replacing the signal cabinets and upgrading equipment at the following intersections: 

  • Work will be completed at Ogden Avenue and North Aurora/Raymond Drive on June 16
  • Work will be completed at Ogden and River Road on June 18
  • Work will be completed at Ogden and Naper Boulevard/Naperville Road on June 19
The traffic signals will not be functioning and stop signs will be displayed at those intersections as traffic control while work is being performed. The work is anticipated to occur from 9 a.m. to about noon, pending weather and unforeseen circumstances.

City officials encourage motorists to seek alternate routes of travel whenever possible.
