Community Invited to Comment on 2015 Naperville Park District Projects

As part of its annual budget process, the Naperville Park District invites the public to comment on capital improvements proposed throughout the District for 2015. 

A community open house will be held on Thursday, August 14 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. in the lobby of the Naperville Municipal Center, located at 400 S. Eagle Street in downtown Naperville.

The open house will take place immediately before the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners.

The following capital projects will be presented at the open house:

  • Ashbury Park – Tennis court renovations
  • Bailey Hobson Woods Park – Bridge replacement
  • Campus Greens – Sidewalk improvements 
  • Hunters Woods – Playground renovation and site improvements (bridge, sidewalk, and shelter)
  • Knoch Knolls Park – Segment V DuPage River Trail development
  • Knoch Knolls Nature Center – 2014 project update
  • Ranchview Park – Tennis court resurfacing
  • Rock Ridge Park - Retention basin shoreline restoration
  • Sally Benton Park – Site furnishings and paver installations
  • Summerfield Lake Park -  Retention basin shoreline restoration

Park District staff will be on hand to answer questions about any of the above projects.

The community is welcome to attend the August 14 open house at any time during the 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. timeframe; there will not be a formal presentation. 

Those who are interested but unable to attend are invited to view the plans online and submit comments by August 25 to Director of Planning Eric Shutes at eshutes@napervilleparks.org. Project information will be posted at www.napervilleparks.org beginning August 15.
