Woman Killed in Aurora Crash

A 56-year-old Aurora woman died following a crash at 4:15 a.m. on Randall Road just south of Sullivan Road in Aurora, according to the Daily Herald. 

The woman, whose name is not being released at this time, was walking north along Randall when she was hit by 2003 Ford Taurus, which police said was driven by a 65-year-old Aurora woman, according to the Daily Herald. 

The woman suffered massive injuries and died during surgery at a west suburban hospital, according to ABC7 Chicago. It does not appear that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash, according to the article. 

Police closed Randall Road between Sullivan Road and Indian Trail Road following the crash and the roadway remained closed through 8 a.m., according to the Aurora Daily Beacon News.

Any witnesses to the crash are asked to contact police at 630-256-5330, according to the Aurora Daily Beacon News.
