Weight-Loss Doctor Sought on Fraud Charges

The FBI is searching for a doctor with ties to Naperville, according to a story in ChicagoBreakingNews.com. Gautam Gupta, 57, is wanted on fraud charges. The doctor is known for his advertisements.

Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in the search for Gupta, who had nutrition clinics in Naperville, Rockford, South Beloit, Chicago and Arlington Heights, and who according to the ChicagoBreakingNews.com story received almost $25 million over the last decade for claims with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois and Illinois Medicaid for services that were not medically necessary or that never were performed.
