Woman Arrested for Assault After Wielding Walking Cane

A 43-year-old Woodridge woman was arrested Friday night after police said she threatened another woman with a walking cane, almost striking her in the face, according to Naperville Police Department reports. 

Michelle M. Lovelette was arrested in the 800 block of Washington Street just after 7 p.m. Friday, according to the police report. She is charged with one count of assault and has posted bond. 

Also on Friday, police arrested a 39-year-old Glendale Heights woman who caused a scene after police said a gas station clerk would not refund her money for a gift card. Police said the Glendale woman threw a stapler and plastic container. 

The incident was reported just before 7 p.m. in the 1400 block of East Ogden Avenue. Alyson K. Loverde was arrested and charged with battery/bodily harm. She posted later posted bond.
