Teen Extricated from Vehicle in Monday Morning Accident

A 16-year-old's was extricated from a vehicle, which received significant damage in an accident on Naper Boulevard.

Streets were closed between Alexandria and Arlington drives along Naper Boulevard for more than two hours Monday morning after a single-vehicle accident.

A 16-year-old driver’s 1999 Acura became lodged between trees at Naper Boulevard and Alexandria Drive, according to the .

Naperville Police and department personnel were called to the scene at 6:23 a.m., police said. When they arrived the victim’s vehicle was lodged between trees adjacent to the southbound lanes of Naper Blvd, on the parkway.

The vehicle received extensive damage requiring the Naperville Fire Department to extricate the teen from his car, police said. The teen was taken to for treatment of his injuries, which did not appear to be life-threatening, according to police.

The Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit also responded to the accident to reconstruct it. Upon completion of its investigation the teen was cited for unsafe tires, police said.
