Speed, in the Name of Love: Man Pleads Guilty to Driving 111 MPH for Sex

Zachary Pierce Ramirez, 21, of Naperville, pleaded guilty on Thursday to reckless driving, Chicago Tribune reports.

A Naperville man caught speeding last April, hoping to have sex with a woman he liked, pleaded guilty Thursday to reckless driving, Chicago Tribune reports.

Zachary Pierce Ramirez, 21, of the 1400 block of Fairway Drive, was arrested at 2:08 a.m. April 21, 2012 at Oswego and River roads after being caught driving 111 mph in a 45-mph zone, police reports said.

A story in the Daily Herald on April 27, 2012 said Ramirez was in a hurry because he was hoping to have sex with a girl he liked. He was driving about 104 mph near the Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve and another speed check determined he was going 111 mph.

Police said Ramirez also had cannabis in his possession at the time of his arrest.

He was ordered to spend five days in a sheriff's work program as well as a random drug testing, according to the Chicago Tribune.
