Monday, May 2

Possession of stolen property

Police said Sarah S. Esposito, 22, of the 4400 block of Knox Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 1 p.m. at an Aldi Foods in Lisle, and charged with possession of stolen property. Her bail was set at $1,500.

Driving under influence of alcohol

Michael R. Swanson, 26, of the 700 block of Natwill Square in Geneva, was arrested around 3:50 a.m. near the intersection of Shiloh Circle and West Gartner Road, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and his bail was set at $3,000.

Burglary

Police said Alex C. Hallett, 20, of the 6600 block of Patterson Court in Woodridge, was arrested around 8:50 a.m. at the Naperville Police Department, 1350 Aurora Ave. He was charged with two counts of burglary.

Lawn decorations thrown in pond

A 53-year-old woman, of the first block of Redstart Road in , reported that her lawn decorations had been broken and thrown into rock pond. She said she believed someone damaged the decor between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Sign graffiti

A real estate "For Sale" sign was vandalized some time over the weekend, police said. A vandal sprayed white paint on each side of the sign and the estimated damage is around $100.

Police said they found graffiti on a sign in a turnabout near the intersection of Gleneagles Drive and Hempstead Avenue in . They said they believed someone defaced the sign between Friday and Monday.

Baseball bat vs. mailbox

A 56-year-old man, of the 1000 block of Sara Lane in , reported that someone had taken a baseball bat to his mailbox. The man didn't notice the damage until Sunday afternoon.

Saturday April 30

Drive-by egging

A driver was headed northbound on Book Road near where it intersects with 87th Street in around 8 p.m. when the vehicle was hit with an egg.

Scattered mail

A 43-year-old man, of the 2600 block of Sweetbroom Road in , reported that when he arrived home around 10:30 p.m., his mailbox was bent on a 45-degree angle. Mail was taken out of the box and scattered all over the street and the man's front lawn. He said the incident was the second of its kind in one year.
