Rum Run Leads to Underage Drinking Charge

Two men allegedly stole alcohol, a few bikes and woke homeowners in the process.

Some homeowners on Langley Circle had a rude awakening early Wednesday when they heard loud voices outside their house in the middle of the night, according to police.

The residents went outside to investigate and found two bikes were missing from their carport. Police allegedly found the bikes with two men who were walking about four blocks from the scene

Police said they discovered Andrew Allen Greer, 20, of the 3300 block of Ravinia Circle, Aurora and Timothy Brian Homan, 20 of the 800 block of Buttonwood Circle, in possession of the bikes and both men appeared to be intoxicated.

The men had a 2-liter bottle of Admiral Nelson Spiced Rum, which they allegedly stole from a resident’s garage, police said.

The men were arrested in the 1100 block of Langley Circle and both men were charged with disorderly conduct, consumption of liquor by a minor and possession of liquor by a minor, according to police. Their bond was $120.
