Reward Offered for Information in Home Burglary

A resident recently awoke to find a burglar inside the master bath.

A Naperville resident was awakened recently to an unwanted visitor. Police said that a man broke into a home, but left empty handed.

Naperville Crimstoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in the incident. A resident in the 700 block of Sigmund Road was home sleeping at about 1:25 p.m. Sept. 17 when they woke up and saw a man leaving the bathroom in the master bedroom, according to a news release from the . 

Nothing was stolen from inside of the home, said Naperville Police Sgt. Gregg Bell. It appeared that the man broke a glass window next to the front door and was able to unlock the door from the inside and gain entry to the home, police said.

The burglar was described as a black man, wearing blue pants, a blue shirt, and wearing black gloves. The man was described as approximately 5'6"-5'8" tall and possibly in his 20's, according to Naperville Police.
