Retail Theft Arrest, Camera Gear Stolen From Train: Naperville Police Blotter

Naperville Police Department reports, Aug. 5

Monday, Aug. 5

Warrant

Jorge Leon Aviles, 53, of Oswego, was arrested at 9 a.m. near 248th Street and 95th Street, police said. He was charged on a warrant. He posted bond. 

Retail theft

Yesenia Raya, 20, of Joliet, was arrested at 4:06 p.m. in the 700 block of Fort Hill Drive, police said. She was charged with retail theft. She posted bond. 

Mailbox damaged

A cedar mailbox was damaged in the 1600 block of William Penn Drive, police said. 

Bike stolen

A Giant red and black bicycle worth $1200 was stolen in the 200 block of East 5th Avenue, police said.  

Camera gear stolen on train

A Nikon camera, Canon video camera, Nikon lens and external flash were stolen while riding on a Metra train from Naperville to Chicago, police said.

Lost wallet

A wallet was reported lost in the 1100 block of Hobson Mill Drive, police said. 

iPhone cables stolen

Two iPhone USB cables were stolen in the 700 block of South Route 59, police said. 

Mailbox stolen

A mailbox was stolen in the 1300 block of Kallien Avenue, police said.
