Investigation into 'Suspicious Incident' Suspended

Police conducted a full-scale investigation but turned up nothing after witnesses reported a suspicious incident Monday.

Police began the search for a young boy and a man after witnesses called and reported a suspicious incident when the boy was seen walking away with a man at the park Monday afternoon. After the , police said that no children were reported missing in either DuPage or Will counties.

conducted a full-scale investigation, interviewed witnesses and conducted additional interviews with witnesses, but no additional information was gained to show any illegal activity had taken place, said Naperville Police Sgt. Gregg Bell.

As a result of the lack of information, police have suspended the investigation into the incident, Bell said in a news release.
