Police Seek Two Men in Downtown Naperville Battery

Incident occurred late Saturday night after two men approached and fought with a pedestrian.

Naperville police are looking for more information related to a battery incident that occurred in downtown Naperville late Saturday night. 

Police responded to a battery report in the 200 block of West Jefferson Street around 12:22 a.m. on Dec. 16, according to a police release.

A man was injured by an unknown weapon when two men approached and fought with him underneath a bridge near the Riverwalk Eatery, police said.

The incident started when the men tried to take the victim's hat off his head, which led to a struggle and the victim receiving two non-life threatening lacerations. The suspects then fled from the area and were not located, police said.

The first of two suspects is being described as a black male, 5 feet 11 inches with a medium build wearing a "do-rag." The second, a light-skinned black or Hispanic male, 5 feet 11 inches with a medium build wearing a dark hoodie, police said.
