Police Seek Information in Tuesday Afternoon Home Invasion

Four men rob three victims at gunpoint.

Four armed men broke into a home in the 1100 block of Greensfield Drive Tuesday afternoon and robbed three individuals at gunpoint, police said.

Police responded around 3:40 p.m. to the home, where victims said three black men and one Hispanic man entered through an unlocked front door. The men were armed with handguns and one "long gun," according to a news release.

"It was hard for them because it was kind of frantic," Naperville Police Sgt. Brian Cunningham said Wednesday regarding the victims. "They couldn't ascertain who had what guns. … One described the long gun as more of a shotgun, one described it as more of a rifle."

The suspects confronted the residents, demanding money, Cunningham said, describing the midday break-in as "a little unusual."

The four men reportedly fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
At this time, there isn't any indication that the victims know the suspects, Cunningham said.

The men were seen leaving in two vehicles: One was a newer model, four-door compact car — possibly made by Chevrolet — and the other was a blue, four-door car of an unidentified make and model.
