Police are continuing the search for a missing Naperville man who was last seen early Monday morning.

Charles Richard Catlett, 21, has mild autism and was last seen early Monday on the south end of Naperville.

Naperville Police Sgt. Gregg Bell said Tuesday there was no information on whether Catlett may have been going anywhere in particular and it appeared he just wandered away from home.

Police received a few leads from people who said they may have recognized Catlett, but those leads were checked with negative results.

The man’s family said he has never wandered away before, Bell said.

On Monday law enforcement officials from Will County and Chicago Police assisted in the search, with the Chicago Police Department bringing in a helicopter to search the area.

Catlett is 5’9” and weighs about 130 lbs. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He may have been wearing a red, snowboarding jacket, police said. He is believed to be carrying a laptop. He did not have a cell phone with him.

Anyone who may have seen Catlett or who may know of his location is asked to contact the  at the non-emergency number at 630-420-6147.
