Police: Man Trespasses in Neighbor's Home for Second Time this Week

Naperville police arrested a man who they say has been criminally trespassing.

said they arrested a man for the second time this week after he entered a neighboring home while its residents were sleeping.

Lyman R. Sadlick, 50, was escorted out of a home in the 700 block of Beaver Drive at gunpoint early Tuesday by one of its residents who called authorities immediately afterward, said Naperville Police Sgt. Gregg Bell. Police said that instance was the second of its kind in the last week where Sadlick reportedly ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"It was the same house both times," Bell said, adding the first incident occurred Saturday. "This second time, he was highly intoxicated. The homeowner heard a strange noise in his house and got his trusty sidearm. He found (Sadlick) in his residence and held him at gunpoint until he left."

Sadlick lives on the same block of the home police say he entered unlawfully. Bell attributes his confusion to booze.

"I don't know if he was inebriated on the night of (April 23)," he said. "But he definitely was on Tuesday. I think he drinks and forgets where he is."

Sadlick faces a disorderly conduct charge in Saturday's incident and charges of knowingly damaging property, criminal trespassing to a residence and disorderly conduct connected with Tuesday's incident.
