Police Investigating Fatal Shooting in South Naperville

An Aurora man was pronounced dead Friday in the 3400 block of Lacrosse Lane, less than a mile southwest of Neuqua Valley High School, according to the Will County Coroner's Office.

Naperville police are investigating a fatal shooting in south Naperville.

Kevin P. Ratcliffe, 53, of Aurora, was pronounced dead around 1:25 p.m. Friday in the 3400 block of Lacrosse Lane, less than a mile southwest of Neuqua Valley High School, according to the Will County Coroner's Office.

Preliminary autopsy reports indicate Ratcliffe died of a gunshot wound, according to the Coroner's Office. 

The final cause of death will be determined at a later date after further police, autopsy and toxicological reports. 

Authorities confirmed Ratcliffe's identity late Sunday night, according to the coroner's office.
