Police Blotter: Vulgar Graffiti, Aggravated Battery to Peace Officer

Aggravated battery to peace officer

  • Karina Acosta, 23, of the 1700 block of Felton Road in Aurora, was arrested at 2:44 a.m. in the first block of East Chicago Avenue, said. She was charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting a peace officer and knowingly damaging property. She was transported to DuPage County Jail.
  • Daisy Acosta, 27, of the 100 block of North Calhoun Street in Aurora, was arrested at 2:24 a.m. in the first block of East Chicago Avenue, police said. She was charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer and resisting a peace officer. She was transported to DuPage County Jail.

Possession of cannabis

Micaela Marie Luna, 24, of the 1100 block of Stonehaven Circle in Aurora, was arrested at 12:26 a.m. near South Route 59 and 83rd Street, police said. She was charged with disobeying a traffic control signal, driving in the wrong lane, possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bail was $3,000.

No driver's license

  • Elena Perez-Martinez, 30, of the 700 block of North Brainard Street, was arrested at 5:31 p.m. near North Washington Street and East 111th Avenue, police said. She was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance, failure to yield at an intersection and no driver’s license. Her bond was $200.
  • Torrin Jeff Wilson, 26, of the 100 block of Testa Drive, was arrested at 5:04 p.m. near North River Road and Whispering Hills Court, police said. He was charged with not wearing a seat belt, no driver’s license and operating a vehicle without insurance. His bond was $200.

Vulgar graffiti

Graffiti was found in a men’s room in the 600 block of North Route 59 that read “ASH” and “ASH – (expletive) I’M FROM NORFOLK!”, police said.

iPhone stolen

An iPhone was stolen in the 1400 block of Culpepper Drive, police said.

Cart stolen

A dump cart was stolen in the 1500 block of Sequoia Road, police said.
