Naperville Police Departments reports, Sept. 14-17

Friday, Sept. 14

Driving under the influence

  • David Thomas Swinden, 26, of the 3S100 block of Timber Drive in Warrenville, was arrested at 12:21 a.m. in the first block of Seventh Avenue, Naperville Police Department said. He was charged with windshield obstruction, speeding, and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.
  • Robert B. Rubens, 26, of the 1500 block of Cortland Drive, was arrested at 9:27 a.m. near Modaff Road and West 75th Street, police said. He was charged with failure to reduce speed, operating a vehicle without insurance and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. His bond was $100.

Criminal damage

David Anthony Studley, 37, of the 4200 block of Wilson Avenue in Rolling Meadows, was arrested at 4:23 p.m. near North Loomis Street and East Fifth Avenue, police said. He was charged with criminal damage to a vehicle. His bond was $150.

Warrant arrest

  • Kenneth Joseph Smith, 35, of the first block of South Whispering Hills Drive, was arrested at 4:45 a.m. at the Naperville Police Department, police said. He was charged on a failure-to-appear warrant and battery. He was transported to DuPage County Jail.
  • Irvin Bernal, 20, of the 400 block of Lakelawn Boulevard in Aurora, was arrested at 11:40 a.m. in the 1600 block of North Aurora Road, police said. He was charged on a failure-to-appear warrant and transported to DuPage County Jail.

Criminal trespass

Michael Dale Dichtl, 59, of the 5S000 block of Raymond Drive, was arrested at 10:58 p.m. in the 400 block of South Brainard Street, police said. He was charged with criminal trespass to a building. His bail was $1,500.

Interfering with an officer

Johnny LeShawn Powell, 19, of the 300 block of West Ogden Avenue, was arrested at 11:50 p.m. in the 1500 block of West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with interfering with an officer. His bond was $120.

Theft of labor/services

Ryan Matthew Marshall, 21, of the 6500 block of Deerpath Court in Lisle, was arrested at 12:04 p.m. in the 1400 block of East Chicago Avenue, police said. He was charged with theft of labor/services. His bail was $5,000.

Saturday, Sept. 15

Driving under the influence

  • Erik Ortiz, 22, of the 200 block of Hathaway in West Chicago, was arrested at 9:24 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Route 59, police said. He was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance, no driver’s license, not wearing a seat belt, illegal possession/transportation of liquor and driving under the influence of alcohol. His bond was $300.
  • Timothy Ray Edkins, 52, of the 8S500 block of River Drive, was arrested at 9:25 a.m. in the 800 block of West 75th Street, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of drugs. His bond was $300.
  • Sreedhar Maley, 47, of the 600 block of Conestoga Road, was arrested at 2:20 a.m. near North Washington Street and West 14th Avenue, police said. He was charged with crossing double yellow lines, speeding and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.
  • Victor Manuel Gonzalez, 21, of the 600 block of Newman Court in Romeoville, was arrested at 11:02 p.m. near South Washington Street and East Hillside Road, police said. He was charged with improper passing and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.

Retail theft

  • Nieves Cruz Tablante, 60, of the 1800 block of 19th Avenue in Sterling, was arrested at 4:15 p.m. in the 1300 blokc of South Route 59, police said. She was charged with retail theft. Her bond was $120.
  • Antonio C. Tablante, 53, of the 1800 block of 19th Avenue in Sterling, was arrested at 4:12 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Route 59, police said. He was charged with retail theft. His bond was $120.

Fighting

  • Nicholas Ryan Mathis, 23, of the 1200 block of Jennie Drive in New Lenox, was arrested at 12:49 a.m. in the 200 block of South Washington Street, police said. He was charged with fighting. His bond was $120.
  • Bret Christopher Choisser, 23, of the 200 block of Central Road in New Lenox, was arrested at 12:49 a.m. in the 200 block of South Washington Street, police said. He was charged with fighting. His bond was $120.

Sunday, Sept. 16

Warrant arrest

Jessica Renea Prince, 21, of the 400 block of Valley Drive, was arrested at 10:38 p.m. in the 1200 block of Chalet Road, police said. She was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and four counts of failure-to-appear warrants. She was transported to DuPage County Jail.

Driving under the influence 

  • Michelle Marie Pfaff, 23, of the 1800 block of Ranchview Drive, was arrested at 2:19 a.m. near South Birchwood Drive and Aurora Avenue, police said. She was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance, following too close, failure to give a signal and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bail was $3,000.
  • James Stewart, 27, of the 1300 block of Modaff Road, was arrested at 3:38 a.m. near West Ogden Avenue and Fort Hill Drive, police said. He was charged with using unsafe tires and driving under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to DuPage County Jail.
  • Michael Ashish Patel, 24, of the 3600 block of Lawrence Drive, was arrested at 1:19 a.m. in the 800 block of South Washington Street, police said. He was charged with improper lane usage, operating a vehicle without insurance, failure to reduce speed, using an electronic communication device and driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.

Suspended/revoked license

  • Khalid Hateem Abushaban, 19, of the 900 block of Fairway Drive, was arrested at 3:49 a.m. near West Ogden Avenue and North River Road, police said. He was charged with disobeying a traffic control signal, driving on a suspended/revoked license and operating a vehicle without insurance. His bail was $2,000.
  • Justin Mark Boecker, 29, of the 1900 block of Golden Gate Lane, was arrested at 5:15 p.m. near Tudor Drive and Windward Avenue, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bond was $150.
  • Noe Cisneros-Rosales, 45, of the 200 block of Juniper Lane in Bolingbrook, was arrested at 5:23 p.m. near South Route 59 and Hassert Boulevard, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bond was $150.

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Jaimin Pankha Patel, 21, of the 600 block of Yosemite Avenue, was arrested at 9:57 p.m. at his residence, police said. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was $120.

Stolen bike

A bicycle was stolen from an open garage in the 800 block of Spring Creek Circle, police said.

Lost purse

A woman lost her purse while walking to her car in the 700 block of South Route 59, police said.

iPod Stolen

An iPod touch was stolen while bowling at Brunswick Zone in the 1500 block of Aurora Avenue, police said.

Damaged mailbox

A mailbox was damaged in the 2700 block of Newport Drive, police said.

Monday, Sept. 17 

Unlawful camping on a highway

Scott Michael Huber, 61, of the 1100 block of East Ogden Avenue, was arrested at 5:21 a.m. in the 1200 block of East Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with unlawful camping on a highway. His bond was $1,000.

Planters picked

Two potted plants were stolen outside of the front of a flower store in the 1500 block of North Route 59, police said.

Stolen patio furniture

Patio furniture was stolen from a sidewalk in front of the business in the 1500 block of North Route 59, police said.

Car keyed

An inoperable vehicle was keyed and had paint damaged while in the parking lot in the 1500 block of Fairway Drive, police said.
