Police Blotter: Three Arrested for Disorderly Conduct at 3 a.m.; Suspicious Incident

Naperville Police Department reports, June 7-8.

Wednesday, June 8

Battery

Shawn Michael Regan, 47, of the 1400 block of Lacey Avenue in Lisle was arrested around 2:30 a.m. at 5040 Lincoln Avenue in Lisle, police said. Regan was charged with battery, battery causing bodily harm and an original warrant, according to police reports. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Disorderly conduct

  • Roberts Joseph Jankuski, 22, of the 2200 block of Abbeywood Drive in Lisle was arrested around 3 a.m. at 1246 Natchez Trace Circle in Naperville and was charged with disorderly conduct, officers said. His bail was set at $120.
  • Curtis Joseph Cesal, 19, of the 1100 block of Longwood Drive in Lisle was arrested around 3 a.m. at 1246 Natchez Trace Circle in Naperville, police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct, according to reports. Cesal’s bail was set at $120.
  • Andrew Ray Gawlik, 23, of the 1100 block of Dove Court in Naperville was arrested around 3 a.m. at 1246 Natchez Trace Circle in Naperville, according to reports. Gawlik was charged with disorderly conduct, police said. His bail was set at $120.

Warrant arrests

  • Joy Zoleste Covarrubias, 40, of the 1300 block of Tiger Lily Lane in Joliet was arrested around 1 p.m. at 1350 Aurora Avenue in Naperville on an original warrant, according to police reports. Her bail was set at $300.
  • Police said they arrested a subject for an outstanding warrant at the 0 block of South Main Street in Naperville around 11:30 a.m.

Possession of cannabis

Andrew Phillips Kanning, 19, of the 1700 block of Indian Trail Drive in Naperville was arrested around 4:30 p.m. at 500 South Naperville Boulevard and Keswick Lane in Naperville, according to police reports. Kanning was charged with possession of cannabis, officers said. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Driving without a valid license

  • Jaime Gonzalez-Rivera, 40, of the 2100 block of Pueblo De Creel in Juarez was arrested around 11:30 p.m. at 1617 Naperville Wheaton Road in Naperville, police said. Gonzalez-Rivera was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, according to reports. His bail was set at $1,500.
  • Jesus Antonio-Gaspar, 27, of the 29 W 500 block of County Ridge  in Warrenville was arrested around 11 a.m. at 1780 North Aurora Road and North Route 59 in Naperville, police said. Antonio-Gaspar was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and failure to yield while turning left, according to reports. His bail was set at $1,500.

Hit and run

A 64-year-old woman said she was involved in a hit and run at the 1000 block of North Washington Street in Naperville between 11:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., police said. The women said her car was damaged while parked in a parking lot, according to reports.

Tuesday, June 7

Hit and run

  • A 20-year-old man reported he was the victim of a hit and run at Brainard Street and East Chicago Avenue in Naperville between 12 noon and 6 p.m., officers said. The man said he parked his car around noon and returned around 6 p.m. and discovered it was damaged, according to reports.
  • A 62-year-old man said he was the victim of a hit and run at the 1100 block of Ardmore Drive in Naperville between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., according to police reports. The man said his vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle as it was parked on the street, officers said.

Suspicious incident/circumstances

Police said they found a small glass pipe and lighter in landscaping near the main entrance to a clubhouse at the 1000 block of Preserve Avenue in Naperville at 3 p.m.
