Police Blotter: Theft, Speeding and Driving Under the Influence

The Naperville Police Department reports for Sept. 2-5.

Friday, Sept. 2

Warrant arrest

  • Liporschia Candace Thomas, 21, of the 4800 block of West Wabansia, Chicago, was arrested at 12:15 a.m. at the on an original warrant for identity theft, police said. Her bail was $5,000.
  • Balbir S. Sahota, 48, was arrested at 7:17 a.m. at Diehl Road and Fairway Drive on a failure to appear warrant from Will County.

Driving on a suspended/revoked license

Gerardo Mirafuentes, 38, of the 1800 block of Lily Street, Aurora, was arrested at 3:36 p.m. at Rickert Drive and West 75th Street on charges of driving on a suspended/revoked license and failure to reduce speed/driving too fast for conditions. His bail was $1,500.

Theft

A woman filled up her vehicle in the 600 block of North Route 59 at about 3 p.m. and left without paying, police said.

Saturday, Sept. 3

Driving under the influence

Jeffrey Joseph Stritch, 32, of the 20 block of W791 Douglas Road, was arrested at 1:59 a.m. in the 70 block of East Chicago Avenue on charges of two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and a traffic control violation. His bail was $3,000.

Sunday, Sept. 4

Warrant arrest

  • Waletta L. Powell, 47, of the 1000 block of Pheasant Run Lane, Aurora, was arrested at 3:45 p.m. at LaSalle Avenue and North Route 59 on a warrant and was charged with interfering with an officer, police said. Her bond was $750.
  • Jonathan M. Klimek, 21, of the 400 block of Millcreek Court, was arrested at 5:03 a.m. in the 1000 block of East Benton Avenue on a charge of burglary and on a warrant. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Burglary

Philippe Alberto Ayala, 25, of the 2100 block of Walcott Road, Aurora, was arrested in the 1000 block of East Benton Avenue on a charge of burglary, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Driving without a license

Andres Eligio Carrizosa-Gonzalez, 31, of the 700 block of Inland Circle, was arrested at his home on charges of driving without a license, illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver and violating the lights and lamps act, police said. His bail was $1,500.

Driving under the influence

  • Charles Lemark Stewart, 32, of the 400 block of Sauk Lane, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 1:06 a.m. at Aurora Avenue and Fort Hill Drive on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding, police said. His bail was $3,000.
  • Olivia Renee Fijalkowski, 23, of the 9100 block of South 93rd Court, Hickory Hills, was arrested at 1:56 a.m. at East Ogden Avenue and North Washington Street on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and charges of improper lane use and following too closely. Her bail was $3,000. 
Monday, Sept. 5

Resisting a peace officer

Nodell Deandra Davis, 42, of the 2500 block of Arcadia Circle, was arrested at 10:33 p.m. in the 300 block of West Ogden Avenue on charges of resisting a peace officer and unlawful use of weapons. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Assault

Michael Cooper, 44, of the 1300 block of North Central Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 7:22 p.m. in the 100 block of 4th Avenue on two counts of assault and disorderly conduct. He was taken to the DuPage County jail.

Driving on a suspended/revoked license

Martha Georgette Colon, 30, of the 300 block of White Water Drive, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 8:55 p.m. at Plainfield-Naperville and Bailey roads on charges of speeding over the limit and driving on a suspended/revoked license, police said.

Vehicle burglary

A 35-year-old man in the 2100 block of Citygate Lane reported his vehicle was forcibly entered and four guitars were taken between 9:30 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday, police said.

Criminal damage to property

A 56-year-old woman in the 200 block of Spring Avenue reported that her home was egged overnight, staining the brick and stone exterior, police said.
