Police Blotter: Texting Leads to DUI, Possession of a Controlled Substance

The Naperville Police Department reports, May 3.

Thursday, May 3

Possession

  • Thomas Michael Conway, 19, of the 100 block of Woodlet Lane, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 12:06 a.m. at Breckenridge Lane and Cheyenne Drive, said. He was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and a traffic control violation. His bond was $120.
  • William Aaron Goodman, 19, of the 2700 block of Modaff Road, was arrested at 12:06 a.m. at Breckenridge Lane and Cheyenne Drive, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was $120.
  • Zachary Julian Iskra, 19, of the 3000 block of Brossman Street, was arrested at 12:06 a.m. at Breckenridge Lane and Cheyenne Drive, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was $120.
  • Michael Joseph Lach, 22, of the 1000 block of Leawood Drive, Joliet, was arrested at 5:36 p.m. in the 300 block of Cottonwood Lane, police said. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and a voided citation. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Michael Roger Macduff, 21, of the 1500 block of Maple Knoll Court, was arrested at 7:45 p.m. at Ketten Drive and West Diehl Road, police said. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was $120.

Driving under the influence

  • Vincent Alan Litow, 34, of the 2100 block of Bloomsbury Court, Aurora, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. in the 1700 block of Sequoia Road, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, driving without a license, operating a vehicle while texting and improper parking on a road. Police said he parked his vehicle in the middle of Sequoia Road, east of Rickert Drive, so he could send a text message. His bail was $3,000.
  • Christopher Joseph Shaw, 26, of the 16000 block of Meadowcrest Drive, Lockport, was arrested at 2:02 a.m. at North and Center streets, police said. He was charged with failing to signal, two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, two traffic control violations, speeding, driving without insurance, depositing injurious material on a highway and driving in the wrong lane. His bail was $3,000.

Criminal trespass

  • Police said Stanley Lee, 20, of the 6100 block of South Whipple Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 11:53 p.m. in the 1900 block of Brookdale Road. He was charged with criminal trespass to a building. His bail was $1,500.
  • Kathleen Munro Stoner, 47, of the 0-99 block of Notre Dame Drive, was arrested at 2:19 a.m. in the 0-99 block of Olympus Drive, police said. She was charged with resisting an officer and criminal trespass to land. She was taken to the DuPage County Bond Court.

Warrant arrest

  • Nathan Stewart Bebar, 39, of the 300 block of Book Road, was arrested at 6:49 p.m. at Skylane Drive and Leverenz Road, police said. He was charged on a failure to appear warrant and for driving with an expired registration and no front/rear plate permit displayed. His bond was $120.
  • Police said Sasha Anaya Porter, 24, of the 400 block of East Bailey Road, was arrested at 5:17 p.m. in the 1300 block of East Ogden Avenue. She was charged on a failure to appear warrant issued by the Darien Police Department. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail. 

Suspended license

David Matthew Murauski, 28, of the 2300 block of River Woods Drive, was arrested at 11:07 a.m. at South Washington Street and Hobson Road, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and following too close. His bail was $1,500.

Burglary

  • A 71-year-old man in the 1900 block of Continental Avenue reported someone entered his garage overnight and stole a handicap placard from a car, police said.
  • Police said a 70-year-old man in the 1100 block of Hobson Mill Drive reported that sometime since April 24 a wallet containing gift cards and store credit cards and sunglasses were stolen from a vehicle left in the driveway. The empty wallet was found four blocks away.
