Police Blotter: Suspected Peeper; Driver Scares Children

Sunday, March 6

Fighting

Police said Andrew M. Gurney, 26, of the 300 block of Oaklawn Avenue in Elmhurst, was arrested around midnight in the first block of West Chicago Avenue and charged with fighting. They said he shoved a bouncer because his friend was refused entry for drunkenness. His bail was set at $120.

Jovanne F. Muro, 26, of the first block of South Ellsworth Street in , was arrested around 4:15 a.m. at her home, police said, after she punched someone in the face. She was charged with fighting and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bail was set at $120.

Suspected peeper

A 60-year-old woman, of the 300 block of Millcreek Lane in , reported that she believed someone was peeping in her windows overnight. She told police there were footprints left on her deck. She said she believed the visitor was on her property between 11 p.m. Saturday and 8:15 a.m. Sunday.

Stalled vehicle crash

A 49-year-old man, whose vehicle had stalled near the intersection of Washington Street and Rock River Court in , was hit around 1 p.m. by another driver who was unable to stop in time or merge out of the lane the man had stopped in, police said.

Warrant arrest

Police said Aristotle P. Juliano, 37, of the 3100 block of Whirlaway Lane in Montgomery, was arrested around 11 a.m. in at Extended Stay America, 1575 Bond St., on a failure-to-appear warrant out of DuPage County. His bail was set at $850.

Michael  A. Rocco, 53, of the 1300 block of East Ogden Avenue in , was arrested around 6:30 p.m. at his home on a failure-to-appear warrant out of Lisle for disorderly conduct, police said.

Driving under the influence of alcohol

Andrew J. Bournazos, 24, of the 4400 block of Esquire Circle in , was arrested around 2 a.m. near the intersection of South Route 59 and Ogden Avenue, according to police. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding over the statutory limit and improper passing on the left, police said. His bail was set at $3,000.

Police said Kyle G. Rich, 38, of the first block of North Julian Street in , was arrested around 4:30 a.m. in the 900 block of North Washington Street. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and his bail was set at $3,000.

Isis L. Ruiz, 32, of the 500 block of Chestnut Drive in Oswego, was arrested around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Shandrew Drive and West Ogden Avenue, police said. She was charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle, speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bail was set at $3,000.

Battery and resisting arrest

Kelly L. Cihlar, 25, of the 2700 block of Mohawk Avenue in Woodridge, was arrested around 1:45 a.m. in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue, police said. She was charged with two counts of resisting a peace officer and one count each of battery, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana.

Saturday, March 5

Driving under the influence of alcohol

Tien T. Le, 22, of the 100 block of Michigan Drive in Bloomingdale, was arrested around 12:15 a.m. near the intersection of North Naper Boulevard and Ridgeland Avenue, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count each of operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane use. Her bail was set at $3,000, police said.

Police said Lisa K. Maggio, 44, of the 13200 block of Sunderlin Road in Plainfield, was arrested around 2 a.m. near the intersection of Ring Road and South Washington Street. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of improper lane use. Her bail was set at $3,000.

Patrick J. Carlin, 42, of the 3000 block of Gateshead Drive in , was arrested around 12:45 a.m. at his home, police said. He was charged with failure to yield the right of way to an emergency vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to use a turn signal when required and driving in the wrong lane of traffic. His bail was set at $3,000.

Downed light pole

Naperville Police said that a light pole was partially blocking the roadway near the intersection of Diehl Road and Webster Street in . They suspect that a westbound vehicle left the roadway, drove onto the median at Webster Street and struck the light pole. They said they believed it was knocked over before 5:20 a.m.

Damaging property

Police said Jeffrey M. Neben, 38, of the first block of South Ellsworth Street in , was arrested around 12:45 a.m. at his home and charged with knowingly damaging property. Police said he cut his neighbor's TV cable because of an ongoing fight about noise. His bail was set at $1,500.

Scrawled swear words

A 47-year-old man of the 500 block of Gateshead Drive in reported that someone had written a curse word on his car. He said he believed the vandalism occurred between 6 p.m. Friday and 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

A 26-year-old woman, of the 500 block of Mayfair Lane in , reported that someone spray-painted a swear word on the back bumper of her car. She said she believed the word was painted between 9 p.m. Friday and noon on Saturday.

Resisting arrest

Mark A. Montenegro, 37, of the 4500 block of Black Partridge Lane in Lisle, was arrested around 6:45 p.m. near the intersection of North Route 59 and East Interstate 88, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, violating a traffic control device, driving without having a driver's license on his person and resisting a peace officer. His bail was set at $3,000.

Retail theft

Police said Samuel J. Porter, 18, of the 800 block of South Wells Street in Chicago, was arrested around 7:15 p.m. at Jewel-Osco, 1227 S. Naper Boulevard, and charged with retail theft. Police said he pushed a cart filled with groceries out the front door of the store without paying. His bail was set at $1,500.

Obstructing identification

Dereck D. King-Miller, 23, of the 2700 block of North Melvina Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of North Washington Street and West 5th Avenue, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license, driving a vehicle with an expired registration and obstructing identification. Police said his bail was set at $1,500.

Friday, March 4

Disorderly conduct

Joseph M. Grach, 24, of the 600 block of Melody Lane in , was arrested around 4:30 a.m. in the first block of Pembroke Road, police said. They said he opened the front door of a residence and then walked around the back of the home. When confronted by the homeowner, he told her he was sent by a construction company to check on the doors. He was charged with disorderly conduct and his bail was set at $1,500.

Driver antagonizes children

A resident reported to police that around 4:30 p.m.m his 11-year-old daughter and her friend were walking their dogs near Skylane Drive and Eldorado Court in . The driver of a gray sport utility vehicle, who police said was possibly a teenager, accelerated very quickly toward the girls while they were crossing the street. The driver then slammed on the brakes just before striking the girls. The resident said the girls were shaken up by the incident. Police did not find any suspects in the area.

Warrant arrest

Daniel S. Blubaugh, 30, of the 1300 block of East Ogden Avenue in , was arrested around 11 a.m. at his home on two failure-to-appear warrants out of DuPage County, police said. His bail was set at $8,000.

Feb. 28

Miguel A. Hernandez, 33, of the 1500 block of Bond Street in , was arrested around 9:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Beau Monde Terrace in Lisle on a failure-to-appear warrant out of DuPage County, police said.
