Police Blotter: Stolen Tequila, Warrant Arrests, Driving Under the Influence

July 8

Outstanding warrants

Jennifer Ruby Kocherlakota, 30, of the 300 block of Hazelwood, was arrested at 3:23 a.m. in the 1600 block of Brookdale Road and was charged on three outstanding warrants from Du Page County, police said. She was also charged with obstructing justice. Her bail was $8,000. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Consumption of liquor by a minor

Zachary Ryan Ruben, 19, of the 600 block of Edward Road, was arrested at 11:11 p.m. in the 900 block of N. Eagle Street and charged with consumption of liquor by a minor and interfering with an officer, police said. Bond was $120.

Vehicle burglarized

A 41-year-old woman in the 1100 block of S. Charles Avenue reported that an unknown thief entered her unlocked vehicle between 8 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. Friday, police said. Her purse was taken along with credit cards, a drivers license and an iTouch.

A 54-year-old woman in the 1600 block of Lonsdale Avenue said that her vehicle was entered and rummaged through overnight between 8 p.m. Thursday and and 8:30 a.m. Friday, police said.

A 40-year-old man in the 2200 block of Foxboro Lane reported that someone entered his unlocked car between 6 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. Friday and rifled through it. Nothing was missing, police said.

A 20-year-old man in the 2700 block of Fairhauser Road reported that between 9:30 and 10 p.m. Wednesday a thief took cash and a drivers license from an unlocked vehicle, police said.

Property damage

A 62-year-old man in the 1200 block of Yorkshire Drive reported that between 10:30 p.m. Thursday and 3 p.m. Friday a vandal threw eggs at the front of his home, tagged his rear fence facing Plank Road and in black spray paint wrote “Wil Shorty” and also made a “poor attempt at some kind of symbol,” police said.

A 22-year-old man in the 1200 block of Yorkshire Drive reported that between 10:30 p.m. Thursday and 3 p.m. Friday a rear fence facing Plank Road had a “crude attempt at an upside-down crown, with three points” spray painted in black paint, police said.

A 40-year-old man reported in the 600 block of E. Ogden Avenue that a gunman shot out the rear window of his 2003 Chevy Impala between noon and 6:15 p.m., police said.

A 74-year-old man in the 1700 block of Windward Avenue reported that between 7:45 and 10:46 p.m. Thursday the rear window of his vehicle was shattered, police said.

Burglary

A 64-year-old man in the 1200 block of Laurel Lane reported that between 11 p.m. July 4 and 7:45 a.m. July 5 an intruder entered his home through an unlocked garage door and took cash and alcohol, police said.

July 9

Warrant arrest

Maribel L. Mendoza, 25, of the 700 block of S. Union Street was arrested at 2:33 p.m. in the 800 block of S. Route 59 and McCoy Drive, police said. She was charged with driving without a license and on an outstanding warrant. Her bond was $250.

Drive while license suspended

Edward Earl Chambers, 29, of the 7200 block of Willow Way Lane, Willowbrook, was arrested at 9:54 p.m. in the 0 block of 75th Street and Clyde Drive and charged with operating an uninsured vehicle, driving on a suspended/revoked license and no insurance/operating under a suspension, police said. His bail was $3,000.

Driving under the influence

Armando Morales, 27, of the 2900 block of Wellington Avenue, Lisle was arrested at 10:02 p.m. at Frontenac Road and North Aurora Road and was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use, police said. His bail was $3,000.

Vehicle burglarized

A 52-year-old woman in the 1400 block of Lantern Circle reported that an iPhone and wallet were taken from a vehicle overnight between 9 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.

Property damage

A 64-year-old woman in the 1200 block of W. Bauer Road reported that a vehicle hit her mailbox overnight between 1 a.m. and 8:41 a.m., police said.

Burglary

It was reported that a swim and racquet club in the 500 block of Millrace Lane was burglarized between 9:10 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. Money was stolen and property destroyed, police said.

A 38-year-old man reported in the 1800 block of Abriter Court that a thief stole $250 along with a state of Ohio ID card from a hotel room while the man was at a picnic between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., police said.

Vehicle burglarized

A 69-year-old man in the 2300 block of New Haven Court reported that at 10:39 p.m. his garage door opener and an unknown amount of loose change was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence, police said.

A 48-year-old man reported in the 1300 block of Saxon Lane that someone entered a 2005 Volkswagen parked in the driveway through the driver’s side door but did not steal anything, police said.

Lost phone

A 22-year-old woman reported that she lost her phone around 11 p.m. near Washington Street and Chicago Avenue, police said. She called her phone and an unknown man answered and refused to return the phone.

July 10

Fighting

Eliana Maldonado-Vallejo, 24, of the 1500 block of Fairway Drive, was arrested at 2:33 a.m. in the 70 block of E. Chicago Avenue and was charged with fighting, police said. Her bond was $120.

Driving under the influence

Alex Spencer Ziech, 21, of the 400 block of Cornelia Street, Joliet, was arrested at 2:58 a.m. at S. Naper Boulevard and River Woods Drive and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failing to signal and improper lane use, according to police. His bail was $3,000.

Mario Camacho-Lopez, 34, of the 600 block of Gates Street, Aurora, was arrested at 11:10 p.m. at 95th Street and Book Road for two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal possession/transport of liquor by a driver, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, illegal lane use, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving on a suspended/revoked license, according to police. His bail was $3,000.

Disorderly conduct

Charles Jacob Fullerton, 23, of the 1000 block of Stanton Drive was arrested at 3:51 a.m. in the 500 block of S. Main Street and he was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property, police said. His bond was $120. According to the police report, Fullerton was intoxicated and banging and pulling on a door to a residence where he did not live. He disturbed the homeowners and also broke the lock on the storm door while pulling on it.

Assault

Lashawn Derrick Orr, 24, of the 3700 block of W. 171st Place, Country Club Hills, was arrested at 2:27 p.m. in the 700 block of S. Route 59 and charged with assault, according to police. His bond was $120.

Suspended license

Isaiah Terrance Johnson, 20, of the 77000 block of South Shore Drive, Chicago, was arrested at 2:50 p.m. in the 0 block of Bordaux Lane and Fort Hill Drive, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and operating an uninsured vehicle. His bail was $2,000.

Carlos Corona, 38, of the 4100 block of S. Archer, Chicago, was arrested at 11:39 p.m. in the 400 block of Bell Drive and 75th Street, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and operating an uninsured vehicle. His bail was $2,000.

Theft of gasoline

Clarissa Lynn Lugo, 23, of the 200 block of N. Richmond Avenue, Clarendon Hills, was arrested at 4:31 p.m. in the 1700 block of W. Ogden Avenue and charged with theft of fuel, police said. Her bail was set at $1,500.

Retail theft

Ciprian Mihai, 31 of the 6300 block of N. Sheridan Road, Chicago, was arrested at 7 p.m. in the 700 block of S. Route 59 and charged with retail theft, police said. His bail was $1,500.

Property damage

A 55-year-old man in the 0 block of Finch Court reported that between 12 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. a vehicle struck his mailbox and tree in front of his home after midnight, police said. There was evidence at the scene to suggest the vehicle was an aqua blue Ford.

Stolen property

A 54-year-old man in the 700 block of Burning Tree Lane reported a gas grill was taken from his patio between July 5 and Saturday, police said.

A 30-year-old man in the 1200 block of Chalet Road reported that between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. someone entered his home without force and took two iPods and iPod Nano, an xBox 36, an xBox controller, a Playstation portable and one half-full bottle of Patron Silver Tequila, police said.

July 2 - Reports from Plainfield

Robert Rubin, 36, of the 10 block of E. Benton, was arrested by the Plainfield Police Department at about 3:05 p.m. at 12800 S. Route 59 and charged with theft over $300, according to Plainfield Police.
