Police Blotter: Sod Stolen, Feces Smeared on Resident's Property

Naperville Police Department reports, Oct. 27

Suspended/Revoked License

Bryce Michael Bowers, 29, of the 1500 block of West Jefferson Avenue, was arrested at 12:24 a.m. at the intersection of Raymond Drive and Brookdale Road, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and posted a $150 bond.

Driving Under the Influence

Julia Erin Smith, 25, of the 500 block of Pasadena Lane in Crest Hill, was arrested at 1:03 a.m. in the 2900 block of 83rd Street and South Route 59, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver, violation of driver's license restriction, no valid registration, failing to give signal and speeding over statutory limit. She was released by posting $300 bond.

Warrant Arrest

Clarance Scott Gilchrist, 28, of the 400 block of West Jefferson Avenue, was arrested on a warrant at 3:57 p.m. at the intersection of South Mill Street and West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was a charged with a warrant service and not wearing a seat belt. He was released by posting a $1,000 bond.

Lost Property

A 41-year-old man reported that he lost his passport while moving between July 7 and Oct. 20 in the 2200 block of Waterleaf Circuit, police said.

Theft

A 55-year-old man reported that someone removed three layers of sod out of the ground outside of his apartment between midnight and 12:15 a.m. in the 100 block of Testa Drive, police said.

Criminal Damage to Property

A 46-year-old man reported that someone smeared feces on his mailbox, front door and garage in the 1300 block of Carol Lane three times between Sept. 1 and Oct. 27, police said. The victim also said someone sprayed black paint on his shed and vehicle hubcap, police said.
