Police Blotter: Stolen Purse, Bike and Damaged Lawn

Warrant arrest

  • Traniece Nicole Robinson, 23, of the 1100 block of Clement in Joliet, was arrested at 6:15 p.m. in the 800 block of South Washington Street, said. She was charged on an a failure to appear warrant from DuPage County. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Jordan Damon Herring, 18, of the 1500 block of West Jefferson Avenue, was arrested at 8:12 p.m. in the 1500 block of West Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged on an original warrant for burglary and on a failure to appear warrant. His bond was $500. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. The officer was doing an extra patrol in the area, due to reported criminal activity and he saw Herring and discovered he had two warrants, police said.

Aggravated robbery

Antonio Lee Alexander, 34, of the 30W070 block of Valencia Court, was arrested at 5:36 a.m. in the 800 block of Burlington Avenue in Downers Grove, police said. He was charged with aggravated robbery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. 

Criminal damage

  • A 54-year-old man in the 2000 block of Persimmon Court reported that between 5 and 8 p.m. Wednesday someone damaged his parkway lawn by driving over it, police said.
  • A 27-year-old man in the 200 block of Fifth Avenue said he parked his car in a lot at about 8:30 p.m. and he discovered damage at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, according to police. 

Theft

  • A 26-year-old woman in the 700 block of Inland Circle reported that her purse was stolen from her apartment sometime Dec. 10 or Dec. 11, police said.
  • A 54-year-old man in the 100 block of Fourth Avenue reported someone stole his Schwinn bicycle between 11:40 a.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Thursday, police said.
