Police Blotter: Stolen Pooches, Nasty Graffiti

Stolen pooches

A 36-year-old man, of the 2800 block of Loveland Street in , said his shitzu and 8-month old bulldog were stolen from his apartment between 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Police said someone entered the residence through an unlocked front door and removed the dogs from their cages, which were in a rear closet of the apartment.

Missing violin

A young girl left her violin at her school, , 1630 Warbler Drive in Naperville, during the weekend. When she returned on Monday, the instrument was gone.

Nasty graffiti on signs

Police said they found graffiti on signs near the intersection of 87th Street and Wehrli Road in . A 35 mph speed limit sign had "F--- that" scrawled on it in red marker and a small no parking sign—a letter "P" with a line through it—had "enis" written next to it, along with a "crude drawing of a penis," according to the report. Police discovered the graffiti around 1 p.m. but said they were unsure when the vandalism occurred.
