Police Blotter: Stolen Jewelry, Missing Bike, Broken Window

Wednesday, June 29

Possession of cannabis

Jose Guadalupe Garza, 19, of the 300 block of Peppertree Lane, Aurora, was arrested at 12:58 a.m. in the 100 block of W. Jefferson Avenue and S. Webster Street, according to police. He was charged with possession of cannabis and his bond was set at $120.

Driving with a suspended license

David Frank Sniegowski, 49, of the 1000 block of Des Plaines Avenue, Forest Park, was arrested at 2:27 a.m. at Ogden Avenue and S. Route 59, in Aurora, police said. He was charged on a warrant, driving on a suspended/revoked license and operating an uninsured vehicle. His bail was $3,500. He was taken to the Will County Jail.

Roger Lamont Ford, 33, of the 1500 block of Georgia Court, was arrested at 7:16 p.m. at S. River Road and Aurora Avenue, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and an expired registration.

Theft

A 59-year-old man in the 1100 block of Langley Circle reported at 7:14 a.m. that a mailbox and lawn wagon decoration were stolen, police said.

Criminal defacement

It was reported at 7:14 a.m. that at Hastings Street and Langley Circle the initials JD + KM were spray-painted on the sidewalk at the corner of the intersection, according to police.

Suspicious incident

A 50-year-old man reported that between 7:45 and 8:15 a.m. someone in a gray Pontiac at the intersection of Lisson Road and 87th Street blew a siren at him, but there were no emergency lights and he was not pulled over, police said.

Stolen property

A 46-year-old man in the 1500 block of Fairway Drive reported that on Monday between 2 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. a Uniflame gas grill was taken from the back patio, police said.

A 46-year-old man in the 1100 block of Lakeside Court reported that his bicycle was stolen out of his open garage, according to police.

A 26-year-old woman reported Wednesday in the 500 block of Fessler Avenue that on June 5 between 3 and 7 p.m. jewelry was taken from the residence during a birthday party, police said.

Property damage

A 21-year-old woman in the 1500 block of Welton Court reported that between 8:20 and 11 a.m. the window of the driver’s side on her 1998 Neon was shattered, police said.

A 49-year-old man in the 3200 block of Keller Lane reported that between 4 p.m. June 18 and 12 p.m. June 20 a brass mailbox flag was broken off his mailbox, police said.

A caller in the 3400 block of Keller Lane reported the flag on a mailbox was broken on June 18, police said.
