Police Blotter: Stolen Hair and Damaged Vehicles

Driving under the influence

  • Rubal Saini, 25, of the 500 block of Ryegrass Trail in Aurora, was arrested at 12:45 a.m. in the 800 block of South Route 59, police said. She was charged with aggravated driving under the influence while her license was revoked or suspended, speeding, improper lane use, not wearing a seatbelt, reckless driving, aggravated fleeing or eluding an officer, driving without insurance, and driving with a suspended license. She was taken to DuPage County Jail.
  • Peter Robert Gauger, 58, of the 500 block of Fessler Avenue, was arrested 11 p.m. in the 1100 block of Milburn Court, police said. He was charged with driving without insurance, driving on a suspended/revoked license and driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000. 

Warrant

Michael John Dumiak, 28, of the 1500 block of 29th Avenue in Moline, was arrested at the , 1350 Aurora Ave., where he was charged on an original warrant for theft, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Suspended license

Russell Lee McComb, 36, of the 200 block of Haller in Romeoville, was arrested at 11:25 p.m. at Hassert Boulevard and Plainfield-Naperville Road, police said. He was charged with driving without insurance and driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bail was $2,000

Criminal damage

  • Someone in the 100 block of North Wright Street reported a wine bottle was thrown through a window between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday, police said.
  • Someone used a pellet gun to damage the windows and bodies of eight vehicles parked in a lot in the 1400 block of West Ogden Avenue between 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Monday, according to police reports.

Theft

Police said four people entered Sally Beauty Supply, and three of them distracted the staff while a woman cut more than $1,000 worth of hair extensions off a locked display rack. When confronted, the woman left in a gray Oldsmobile Alero with out-of-state tags.
