Police Blotter: Stolen Glazed Pots; Wheel-Related Woes

Warrant arrest

Police said Daniel E. Hastert, 35, of the 700 block of East Hillside Road in , was arrested around 6:15 p.m. at his home on a failure-to-appear warrant. His bail was set at $10,000.

Gustavo Correa, 41, of the 100 block of South Fourth Street in Aurora, was arrested around 11:50 a.m. near the intersection of 103rd Street and 248th Avenue on a warrant. Police said he was also charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and violating a designated truck route. His bail was set at $1,500.

Possession of pot

Christopher T. Faurot, 29, of the 600 block of North Loomis Street in , was arrested around 1:40 a.m. in the 800 block of East Ogden Avenue on a warrant, police said. He was also charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $120.

Leaving accident scene

Police said Robert O. Minor, 46, of the 100 block of Robins Way in Florissant, Mo., was arrested around 1 p.m. at the Will County Jail, 14 W. Jefferson St., Joliet. He was charged with two counts each of operating an uninsured motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage, and one count each of failure to give aid/information, failure to reduce speed and failure to yield at an intersection. His bail was set at $10,000.

Wheel-related woes

Police said tires were reported missing from a 2011 Toyota Tacoma that was parked in a lot in the 1400 block of West Ogden Avenue in . They said they believed the wheels were swiped between 10 p.m. Monday and 1:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Stolen glazed pots

A 47-year-old woman, of the 2700 block of Fox River Lane in , reported that someone took two black, glazed, ceramic flower pots from her home. The pots were valued at about $40 each and she said she believed they were stolen around 10 a.m. It was about that time that she saw the person she suspected to be the thief driving southbound from the scene in a gray work van.

Burglary to motor vehicle

A 21-year-old man, whose car was parked in the 2700 block of Fitness Drive in , reported that the driver's side window of his 2011 black Honda Civic had been broken. A Garmin GPS and an iPod were missing, he said. The car was parked on the south side of the lot near an outdoor camera, police said. They said they believed someone broke in between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Missing Netbook

Police said someone reported Tuesday that a HP model 2140 Netbook computer had been stolen from the 400 block of Aurora Avenue in . The computer is valued around $600 and police said they believed it was swiped between 3 p.m. Feb. 16 and 7 a.m. March 8.
