Police Blotter: Stolen Copper and Vehicle Parts and Resisting an Officer

Monday, Sept. 19

Resisting an officer

Laura Anne Katter, 34, of the 800 block of Beaumont Drive, was arrested at 12:26 a.m. in the 10 block of Chicago Avenue on charges of resisting an officer and disorderly conduct, according to . Her bail was $1,500.

Suspended license

James Anthony Williams, 25, of the 100 block of South Main Street, was arrested at 3:01 a.m. in the 30 block of West Jefferson Avenue on a charge of driving on a suspended/revoked license, police said. His bail was $1,500.

Battery

Susan Marie Davey, 49, of the 100 block of Wedgeport Circle, Romeoville, was arrested at 1:24 p.m. in the 600 block of Amersale Drive on a charge of battery. Her bail was $1,500.

Criminal trespass

Joshua Artee Pittman, 18, of the 800 block of Center Street, was arrested at 3:31 p.m. in the 100 block of 4th Avenue on a charge of criminal trespass to a vehicle. His bond was $120.

Criminal damage

  • Someone reported in the 500 block of Warwick Drive that between 11 p.m. Sept. 16 and 2 p.m. Sunday that someone threw a fire hydrant cap through a glass door on the east side of the building, police said. Damage was estimated at $400.
  • Police said a 56-year-old woman in the 1100 block of Brighton Road reported that a wooden mailbox was smashed between 11 p.m. Friday and 9:32 a.m. Monday.
  • A 63-year-old man in the 1900 block of Fair Oak Road reported that his wooden mailbox post was broken Sunday, police said.

Theft

A man reported in the 0 block of East Ogden Avenue that a man had removed about $150 worth of vehicle parts from the Dumpster area of a business. The items were taken between 11:30 a.m. and noon Monday, police said.

Vehicle burglary

A vehicle in the 1600 block of Shore Road was broken into between 5 p.m. Sept. 16 and 9 a.m. Sunday, police said. Scrap pieces of copper were taken from the vehicle.
