Police Blotter: Stolen CDs, Missing Phone and Possession

Thursday, Sept. 8

Possession

Viktorija Morgun, 22, of the 2500 block of Dickens Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 6:55 p.m. at Beebe Drive and South Route 59 on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Her bond was $120.

Theft

Devin James Dean, 19, of the 1600 block of Westminster Drive, was arrested at 5:10 p.m. at the on an original warrant for theft, police said. His bail was $25,000.

Aggravated battery

Thomas Patrick Camp, 28, of the 1500 block of Fairway Drive, was arrested at 1:24 a.m. at his home on two counts of aggravated battery against a government employee, resisting a peace officer and interfering with domestic reporting. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Driving under the influence

Brian Edward Walendy, 25, of the 1300 block of Champion Forest Court, Wheaton, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. in the 400 block of South Route 59 and Aurora Avenue on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper passing and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. His bail was $3,000.

Burglary from vehicle

  • A 58-year-old man in the 1700 block of Baybrook Lane reported that between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 6:30 a.m. Thursday, a GPS unit and CDs were taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway.
  • A 31-year-old woman in the 2900 block of Stockton Court reported that on Sept. 1, she left her HTC Touch cellular phone on the hood of her car while she walked her son to the corner for school. When she returned, the phone was gone, along with a black leather case containing about 100 CDs, police said. Some of the CDs were found thrown on the ground in the neighborhood.

Criminal damage

A 51-year-old man in the 0 block of West Bauer Road reported that between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 6:30 p.m. Thursday, someone slashed two of the tires on his minivan while it was parked in the driveway.
