Police Blotter: Stolen Bike and Violating Bail

Driving under the influence

  • Andrea Barron-Solis, 20, of the 500 block of Blackwith Street, Aurora, was arrested at 11:54 p.m. in the 1900 block of West Jefferson Avenue and North Route 59, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, not wearing a seatbelt, obstructing identification, driving without a license, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving on the wrong side of a divided road. Her bail was $3,000.
  • Skyler Thomas Sabala, 22, of the 1000 block of Selma Lane, was arrested at 12:17 a.m. in the 1500 block of Westglen Drive where he was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed/driving too fast for conditions and leaving the scene of an accident causing damage, police said. His bail was $3,000.

Violating bail

Marvin Jonathan Wells, 34, of the 1400 block of North Eagle Street, was arrested at 1:32 a.m. in the 1200 block of East Ogden Avenue, where he was charged with obstructing identification and violating a bail bond, police said. He provided a false name and the wrong date of birth. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Warrant arrest

  • Gary Reuben Karlin, 44, of the 1300 block of Sugar Court, was arrested at 12:10 a.m. at his home where he was charged on a failure to appear warrant from DuPage County, police said. His bail was $1,000.
  • Harlampi Bozhinov, 28, of the 6100 block of Knoll Wood Road, Willowbrook, was arrested at 6:05 p.m. at the Naperville Police Department, where he was charged on an original warrant for possession of a controlled substance, police said. His bail was $10,000.

Vehicle burglary

A 72-year-old man in the 1500 block of Windsor Court reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and attempted to remove his CB radio and antennae between 11:30 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. Monday, but they were unsuccessful, police said.

Property damage

A 63-year-old man in the 900 block of West Bailey Road reported that his mailbox was damaged while he was out of town between 7 a.m. Aug. 1 and noon Aug. 3, police said.

Theft

A 23-year-old man in the 1600 block of Brookdale Road reported that between noon Aug. 5 and 9 p.m. Aug 7 his orange-and-black Trek bicycle was taken from the patio of his apartment complex, police said.
