Police Blotter: Stolen Beer, Bike, Booze

Tuesday, June 28

Warrant arrest

Kenneth M. Komperda, 31, of the 8300 block of Portsmouth Drive, Darien, was arrested at 12:08 a.m. in the 2000 block of Lucent Lane and he was charged on a warrant, police said. His bail was set at $2,500.

Isaac Jacoub Guy, 20, of the 4900 block of W. Drummond Place, Chicago, was arrested at 12:50 a.m. in the 1700 block of N. Naper Boulevard and E. Diehl Road and was charged on a warrant, driving on a suspended/revoked license and operating an uninsured vehicle, police said. His bail was set at $4,000. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Clarence Abraham Guyton, 19, of the 900 block of Fairway Drive was arrested at 5:56 p.m. in the 1900 block of Brookdale Road and N. Route 59, police said. He was charged with obstructing identification, not wearing a seat belt and for a warrant. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Criminal trespass

Peter U. Heng, 21, of the 800 Block of Forest Acres Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio,  was arrested at 12:32 a.m. in the 40 block of W. Van Buren Avenue and charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle, police said. His bail was set at $1,500.

John D. Binder, 20, of the 24000 block of Woodstock Drive, Plainfield was arrested at 12:32 p.m. in the 40 block of W. Van Buren Avenue and charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle, no valid registration and operating an uninsured vehicle. Bail set at $2,000.

Driving under the influence

Aleksandra Blando, 21, of the 1300 block of Giese Road, Batavia, was arrested at 1:14 a.m. in the 500 block of S. Washington Street and West Porter Avenue and charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and making an improper turn at an intersection, police said. Her bond was $100.

Theft

Police said a caller reported in the 1300 block of Hobson Road that between 9 p.m. Monday and 6:38 a.m. Tuesday that a swim club was burglarized and that between $100 and $150 was taken.

A 42-year-old woman in the 1100 block of N. Brainard Street reported that between 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. a bike was stolen from the front yard, police said. A woman’s small blue Giant Bolder SE with bottle holder was stolen.

A 38-year-old man in the 2000 block of University Drive reported that between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. a garage was entered and a gray Oberweis cooler containing Corona, Miller High Life and Leinenkugel beer was removed, police said.

Someone in the 1500 block of N. Aurora Road reported at about 7:30 p.m. that a man loaded four 750 ml bottles of Absolut vodka into his cargo pants and walked out of the store, police said. He was last seen walking along the front of the store going east.

Missing pet

A 25-year-old man in the 2100 block of Debbie Court reported at 3:39 p.m. that an iguana was missing from the residence, police said.

Solicitation without a permit

Police said that in the 1100 block of Johnson Drive at 3:35 p.m. solicitors were located who had been canvassing the area without permits. They were told about the city ordinance requiring permits.

Property damage

A man in the 3600 block of Timber Creek Lane reported damage that occurred on June 20, police said. The mailbox flag was ripped off.

A 46-year-old man in the 3300 block of Keller Lane reported that between June 20-21 kids in the neighborhood broke the mailbox.

A 58-year-old man in the 1100 block of Dartmoor Court reported that several times during the past month his house was egged and a cup of urine and feces was found on the doorstep, police said.

Nuisance

A 64-year-old woman in the 400 block of Valley Drive reported that a man is not picking up after his dog, police said. The incidents took place between June 22 and 27.

Missing wallet

A 17-year-old man reported that he lost his wallet either at Arrowhead Park, Noodles & Co. downtown or at Los Burritos Tapatios between 8 and 11 p.m. Monday, police said.
