Police Blotter: Speeding, Warrants and a Stolen Radio

The Naperville Police Department reports for Oct. 12.

Wednesday, Oct. 12 

Warrant arrest

  • Geovana Gabriela Sanchez, 21, of the 700 block of Hinman Street, Aurora, was arrested at 9:24 p.m. in the 2800 block of South Route 59,  said. She was charged on an original warrant for retail theft. Her bail was $10,000.
  • Nicholas Dennis Joseph Furlow, 19, of the 200 block of North Whispering Hills Road was arrested at 10:45 p.m. at his home, police said. He was charged on a failure to appear warrant for sexual abuse. His bail was $7,500. 

Driving under the influence

  • Hector Manuel Lopez, 26, of the 1000 block of West Ogden Avenue, was arrested at 1:44 a.m. in the 1000 block of West Ogden Avenue where police said he was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, failing to give a signal and a traffic control violation. His bail was $3,000.
  • Ashley Marie Krucek, 24, of the 7900 block of Chesterton Court, Woodridge, was arrested at 1:29 a.m. in the 0 block of East 75th and South Washington streets, police said. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. Police said she was driving 70 mph in a 40 mph zone. Her bail was $3,000.

Speeding

  • Carlos Fernando Otalvaro, 23, of the 2100 block of Lancaster Circle, was arrested at 10:18 p.m. in the 0 block of West 87th Street and Plainfield-Naperville Road, police said. He was charged with speeding and driving without a license. His bail was $1,500.
  • Jonathan J. Foster, 29, of the 500 block of Cranbrook Lane, Romeoville, was arrested at 12:17 p.m. in the 500 block of Alexandria Drive and South Naper Boulevard, police said. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding over the limit. His bail was $1,500.

Retail theft

Cynthia Ann Olson, 46, of the 700 block of Churchill Drive, Oswego, was arrested in the 1900 block of West Jefferson Avenue, where she was charged on two counts of retail theft, police said. Her bail was $1,500.

Driving without a license

Veniamin Konstantinovich Balika, 32, of the 12000 block of Winterberry Lane, Plainfield, was arrested at 8:56 p.m. and charged with two counts of driving without a license, driving without a rear license plate light and violating the lights and lamps act, police said. His bail was $1,500.

Vehicle burglary

A 34-year-old woman reported that between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, in the 2700 block of Fitness Drive, a Kenwood radio was taken from her vehicle’s dashboard, police said.
