Police Blotter: Shredded Pants, Stolen Beer, a Missing Wii

Monday, June 20

Driving without a license

Oscar R. Solorio-Rodriguez, 32, of the 4700 block of Manor Place, Aurora, was arrested at 8:07 p.m. in the 2900 block of Dearborn Court and N. Route 59, police said. He was charged with driving without a license and no valid safety sticker. Bail was set at $1,500.

Violating bail bond

Police said Ricardo Jimenez-Velazquez, 25, of the 200 block of Monterey Drive, Bolingbrook was arrested at 8:59 p.m. in the 2700 block of Aurora Avenue and charged on a warrant, violating a bail bond and driving on a suspended/revoked license. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Driving under the influence

Vesta Marie Eddings, 21, of the 200 block of Klein Creek in Carol Stream was arrested at 1:39 a.m. in the 200 block of Tuthill Road and East Ogden Avenue, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of cannabis and driving on the wrong side of a divided road. Bail was set at $3,000.

Driving while license revoked, suspended

Nathaniel Newman, 49, of the 2700 block of West Harrison Street, Chicago, was arrested at 12:33 a.m. in the 100 block of East Interstate 88 and Winfield Road and was charged with making an improper left turn, expired registration and driving on a suspended/revoked license, police said. Bail was set at $1,500.

Resisting an officer

Carrie Nagel Clark, 39, of the 20 block W153 96thCourt was arrested at 4:50 p.m. in the 300 block of Dupahze Street and charged with two counts of resisting a peace officer and residential burglary, police said. She was taken to the Will County Jail. According to the report Clark entered a resident’s garage and removed a beer from the refrigerator. The homeowner found Clark in her garage and called police. The woman was found later in Knoch Knolls Park, police said.

Missing property

A 32-year-old man in the 400 block of Massachusetts Avenue reported at 12:56 a.m. that he noticed a man standing by a window and then noticed that a Rubbermaid bin full of brass fittings was missing, police said.

Criminal damage to property

It was reported that in the 1500 block of North Loomis Street a second-floor junior high classroom had a window broken for the second time, police said. The estimated loss was about $600.

A 29-year-old man in the 3400 block of Kestral Drive reported that between Wednesday and Sunday a pair of tuxedo pants was shredded. The pants were part of a package delivered to his home and left on the front porch, according to police.

Graffiti

Someone in the 400 block of South Eagle Street reported that graffiti was found in the stairwell at about 12:30, police said. Orange spray paint was used to make a drawing, which was unidentifiable. The defacement took place between 5 p.m. Friday and 12:30 p.m. on Monday.

Vehicles burglarized

A 40-year-old man in the 500 block of Carriage Hill Road reported that between 10 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday two GPS units and a wallet were stolen from his unlocked truck, police said.

An 18-year-old woman in the 700 block of South Route 59 reported a burglary to her vehicle that occurred on Friday between 6:30 and 7 p.m., police said.

A 50-year-old man in the 1400 block of Briergate Drive reported that an unlocked vehicle was entered overnight between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. Monday and a vehicle registration card was taken, police said.

Apartment burglarized

A 23-year-old man in the 700 block of Inland Circle reported at 10:15 p.m. that unknown intruders entered his apartment through an unlocked rear door and stole his 25thanniversary edition Wii gaming system, police said.
