Police Blotter: Retail Theft Arrests, Aggravated DUI, Criminal Trespass

Warrant arrest

Valerie Lashun Charles, 43, of the 2800 block of Gypsum Circle, was arrested at 1213 p.m. at the Naperville Police Department, police said. She was charged on a failure-to-appear warrant. Her bail was $5,000.

Theft

  • Jonathan Andrew Fogelman, 19, of the 13100 block of Merganser Cove in Plainfield, was arrested at 7:25 p.m. in the 700 block of Fort Hill Drive, police said. He was charged with theft. His bond was $120.
  • Joshua Alexander Hagan, 19, of the 2800 block of Cedar Glade Drive, was arrested at 7:25 p.m. in the 700 block of Fort Hill Drive, police said. He was charged with theft. His bond was $120.
  • Fogelman, Hagan and one juvenile were arrested for retail theft after removing folding knives from their packages and attempting to leave store with them, police said. 

Suspended/revoked license

Tricia Carol Dixon, 25, of the 700 block of Inland Circle, was arrested at 8:13 a.m. in the 1900 block of Brookdale Road, police said. She was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license, operating a vehicle without insurance and interfering with an officer. Her bail was $2,000.

Driving under the influence

Jessica Rae Derose, 21, of the 300 block of Avena Circle, was arrested at 1:17 a.m. near South Washington Street and East Bailey Road, police said. She was charged with improper lane usage, driving in the wrong lane, operating a vehicle without insurance and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bail was $3,000.

Disorderly conduct

Ramon Lamar Miner, 21, of the 400 block of Brad Court, was arrested at 3:04 p.m. in the 600 block of Bakewell Lane, police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal trespass to a vehicle, criminal trespass to land and criminal trespass to resident with person present. His bail was $1,500.

Possesion of cannabis

  • John Joseph Vizintos, 20, of the 4S 700 block of Karns Road, was arrested at 10:33 p.m. in the 800 block of Woodewind Drive, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding. His bail was $3,000.
  • Brandon Graham Tedder, 18, of the 600 block of Darcy Avenue in Joliet, was arrested at 2:52 a.m. near North Mill Street and West 6th Avenue, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis, no rear registration plate, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence of drugs. His bond was $100.

Leaving scene of accident

Jose Alfredo Puentes-Hernandez, 31, of the 700 block of East Benton Street in Aurora, was arrested at 7:48 p.m. at the Naperville Police Department, police said. He was charged with no driver’s license, disobeying a traffic control signal, failure to give aid or inform and leaving the scene of an accident. His bail was $1,500.

Aggravated driving under the influence 

Victor Ramirez, 52, of the 1100 block of Douglas in Aurora, was arrested at 7:37 p.m. near 111th Street and South Route 59, police said. He was charged with improper lane usage, two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a suspended/revoked license, no insurance and two counts of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to Will County Jail.

Car burglary

A burglary from an unlocked Honda Odyssey was reported in the 700 block of Woodewind Drive, police said.

Car entered

An unlocked Hyundai Tucson was entered and gone through in the 800 block of Woodewind Drive, police said.
