Police Blotter: Purse Left Behind, Thieves Steal Drainage Grates, American Flag and Pole

Possession

• Matthew Ryan Berquist, 20, of the 3200 block of Johnsbury Court in Aurora, was arrested at 1:38 a.m. in the 1300 block of Chestnut Ridge Drive and North River Road, police said. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, no rear license plate light, possession of cannabis and driving without insurance. His bail was $2,000.
• Peter Kristen Rundo, 19, of the 10S200 block of Alan Road was arrested at 5:42 p.m. at South Naper Boulevard and Market Avenue, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, two counts of failing to signal, possession of a controlled substance and driving under the influence of drugs. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Driving under the influence

• Oscar Reyes Fernandez, 35, of the 1500 block of Galway Drive in Aurora, was arrested at 6:03 p.m. at West Diehl Road and North Route 59, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver. His bail was $3,000.
• Bertha Margarita Della Rocca, 42, of the 800 block of Metropolitan Avenue in Bolingbrook, was arrested at 10:19 p.m. at the intersection of Winterberry Avenue and Teak Circle, police said. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bail was $3,000.
• Rosa Bishop, 59, of the 1800 block of South Washington Street was arrested at 1:43 a.m. in the 10 block of Foxcroft Road and South Washington Street, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use and failure to reduce speed/driving too fast for conditions. Her bail was $3,000. 

Suspended license

Percy John Davis, 24, of the 1500 block of West Jefferson Avenue was arrested at 2:30 p.m. at West 75th Street and Book Road, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license.

Retail Theft

Anthony Wayne Ashford, 27, of the 500 block of East Bailey Road was arrested at 11:02 p.m. in the 60 block of West 87th Street, police said. He was charged with retail theft. His bail was $1,500

Warrant arrest

Bradley James Salminen, 33, of the 41000 block of Cayenne Drive in Sterling Heights, was arrested at 4 p.m. at the , 1350 Aurora Avenue, police said. He was charged on an original warrant related to stalking. His bond was $40.

Theft

• A 79-year-old woman on Loomis Street reported that someone stole an American flag and the flagpole, police said.
• Someone reported that iron drainage grates were stolen in the 500 block of South Route 59, police said.

Missing property

A 33-year-old woman in the 3100 block of 111th Street reported that she left her purse in the shopping cart in the parking lot on Wednesday, police said.
