Police Blotter: Prostitution, Pandering and Homes Get Egged

Naperville Police Department reports, Nov. 1

Tuesday, Nov. 1

Suspended license

Katarzyna Emilia Gringas, 19, of the 1200 block of Potter Road, Park Ridge, was arrested at 12:08 a.m. at Interstate 88, said. She was charged with driving without insurance, disobeying a stop sign and driving on a suspended/revoked license.

Warrant arrest

George A. May, 24, of the 1000 block of Harmony Drive, Montgomery, was arrested at 8:20 a.m. in the 1200 block of North Mill Street and Laura Court, police said. He was charged on a warrant. His bail was $500. 

Prostitution

  • Marquita Marie Thomas, 19, of the 9000 block of North 75th Street, Milwaukee, WI, was arrested at 8:27 p.m. in the 1600 block of Naperville-Wheaton Road, police said. She was charged with prostitution and on a warrant. She was taken to the DuPage County Bond Court.
  • Brittany Marie Dufer, 21, of the 200 block of Jackson Street, Darien, Wisc. was arrested at 8:27 p.m. in the 1600 block of Naperville-Wheaton Road, police said. She was charged with prostitution and two warrants. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Alexandra A. Pederson, 21, of the 200 block of North 6th Street, Clinton, Iowa, was arrested at 8:40 p.m. in the 1500 block of Naperville-Wheaton Road, police said. She was charged with prostitution. Her bail was $1,500.

Pandering

Calvin Lee Brackins, 32, of the 7700 block of South Evans Street, Chicago, was arrested at 9:42 p.m. in the 1500 block of Naperville-Wheaton Road, police said. He was charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana and pandering. His bail was $1,500.

Driving under the influence

Brandon K. Perdue, 24, of the first block of Fenwick Hall Allee, Johns Island, SC, was arrested at 6:54 a.m. in the first block of East 14th Avenue and North Washington Street, according to police. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, making an improper turn at an intersection and driving without insurance. His bond was $300.

Unlawful use

Eric Michael Long, 36, of the 400 block of Seminary Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 10:53 a.m. in the 600 block of South Route 59, where police said he was charged with unlawful use of intoxicating compounds.

Criminal damage

  • A 53-year-old woman in the 200 block of Arlington Avenue reported that her mailbox was damaged overnight, police said.
  • Police said a 38-year-old woman in the 1100 block of North Main Street reported that her house was egged and spray-painted overnight.
  • Someone reported that a rock was thrown through a window in the 2800 block of Mistflower Lane, police said.
  • A 55-year-old woman in the 4700 block of Torphin Hill Court reported a problem with local juveniles, police said. Numerous eggs were smashed against the rear of the house, windows, upper deck and the lower patio.

Burglary

Someone reported a generator stolen between noon Sunday and 3 p.m. Monday from the garage of a home under construction in the 4100 block of Champion Road, police said. A chain securing the generator was cut in order to remove it.

Vehicle burglary

A 35-year-old woman reported that someone in the 200 block of West Diehl Road forced entry into her blue Land Rover LR2 taking her purse, police said.
