Police Blotter: Prostitution Arrests, Thief Gets Spooked, Cars Drawn On

Naperville Police Department reports, July 5

Thursday, July 5

Prostitution 

  • Regina Ruth Hill, 35, of the 400 block of Chicago Avenue in East Chicago, was arrested at 7:34 p.m. in the 1800 block of West Jefferson Avenue, said. She was charged with prostitution. Her bail was $1,500.
  • Tamika Raitra Lipsey, 31, of the 3900 block of Ivy Street in East Chicago, was arrested at 7:34 p.m. in the 1800 block of West Jefferson Avenue, police said. She was charged on a failure-to-appear warrant and prostitution. Her bond was $1,075.

Possession of cannabis

Kevin Daniel Huml, 23, of the 41 W 900 block of Hughes Road in Elburn, was arrested at 12:58 a.m. in the 900 block of School Street, police said. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis. His bail was $1,500.

Warrant arrest

  • Michael Crowder, 27, of the 300 block of South Adams Street in Freeport, was arrested at 10:22 p.m. near South Naper Boulevard and East Bailey Road, police said. He was charged on a failure-to-appear warrant and transported to DuPage County Jail.
  • Stephanie Shonnee Russell, 28, of the 300 block of South Adams Street in Freeport, was arrested at 10:22 p.m. near South Naper Boulevard and East Bailey Road, police said. She was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance and a failure-to-appear warrant. She was transported to DuPage County Jail.

Thief gets spooked

A thin high-school-aged male opened a car door, but then fled on foot when a resident looked out of their window in the 2500 block of Champion Road, police said. 

Beware of dog(s)

Alcohol was left behind after someone entered a back patio and garage when dogs scared them off in the 1200 block of Laurel Lane, police said.

Cars drawn on

Various words/symbols were drawn on the vehicle windows overnight in the 3300 block of Rosecroft Lane, police said. Vehicle windows were also drawn on the previous evening in the 3300 block of Rosecroft Lane.

School's out for summer

Someone attempted to enter Clow Elementary School after pry marks were found on a door in the 1300 block of Springdale Circle, police said.

Property theft

Roofing tile was removed from the roof of a building in 900 block of Sanctuary Lane, police said.
