Police Blotter: Possession of a Controlled Substance and Vehicle Burglaries

Monday, Sept. 26

Driving without a license

Cosme Ortega, 20, of the 100 block of Testa Drive, was arrested at 5:33 p.m. at South Whispering Hills Drive and West Jefferson Avenue on charges of failure to yield, driving without insurance and driving without a license, said. His bail was $2,000.

Driving under the influence of alcohol

Migual Balon, 23, of the 100 block of Valley Drive, was arrested at 3:48 a.m. in the 2000 block of Calamos Court on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license, police said. His bail was $3,000. 

Possession

David Yoon Row, 33, of the 1800 block of Clyde Drive, was arrested at 10:11 p.m. at his home on charges of possession of a controlled substance, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail and his bail was $20,000.

Warrant arrest

  • Zelda Lee Cotton, 46, of the 0 block of Bluebird Lane, was arrested at 7:34 p.m. on an original warrant for assault and other charges, police said. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Zachary Montrel Holland, 17, of the 1000 block of Foran Lane, Aurora, was arrested in the 1200 block of Naperville Drive, Romeoville, on an original warrant for theft and aggravated battery, police said. He was taken to the Will County Jail and his bail was $50,000.

Vehicle burglary

  • A 37-year-old woman in the 4500 block of Sunningdale Drive reported that between 9 and 11:30 p.m. Saturday, cash and an iPhone were stolen from a purse left inside an unlocked vehicle, police said.
  • A 16-year-old girl in the 3800 block of Royal Portrush Drive reported that between 11 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday a wallet and clutch were stolen from a vehicle.
