Blotter: Possession, Driving the Wrong Way, Vehicle Burglarized

Naperville Police Department reports, Nov. 4-6

Friday, Nov. 4

Possession

  • Patrick John Manion, 22, of the first block of Richmond Lane, Aurora, was arrested at 7:18 p.m. at Aurora Avenue and River Road, police said. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Donavan F. Jones, 20, of the 1000 block of Westmore Myer, Lombard, was arrested at 8 a.m. in the 200 block of Center and North streets, police said. He was charged with disobeying a traffic control device, possession of liquor by a minor, illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver, possession of cannabis and driving under the influence of drugs. Police said he was stopped for disobeying the bus-only lane and police noticed the odor of cannabis. Police said they found 7.1 grams of cannabis and a partially full bottle of brandy upon a search of his vehicle.

Warrant arrest

Milagros Murillo, 42, of the 1600 block of North Spaulding Street, was arrested at 5:19 p.m. in the 1900 block of McDowell Road and North Route 59, according to police. She was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license, driving without insurance while under a suspension and on an outstanding warrant. Her bail was $3,000.

Suspended license

James Patrick Curtin, 22, of the 6S000 block of Country Glen Drive, was arrested at 7:16 p.m. at Aurora and River Road, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bail was $1,500.

Driving under the influence

Brian Christopher Davis, 51, of the 300 block of Douglas Avenue, was arrested at 10:45 p.m. at the first block of Sycamore Drive and South Washington Street, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bail was $3,000.

Vehicle burglary

  • A 22-year-old man in the 300 block of Sierra Avenue reported someone smashed out his vehicle’s window and stole his iPod touch, police said.
  • Police said a 59-year-old man in the 500 block of Mayfair Lane reported that between Oct. 1 and Oct. 29 his golf clubs and equipment were taken out of his unlocked vehicle.
Saturday, Nov. 5

Suspended license

Ana Hilda Martinez, 51, of the 13000 block of South Golden Meadow Court, Plainfield, was arrested at 4:23 p.m. at West Ogden Avenue and Rickert Drive, police said. She was charged with driving without insurance and driving on a suspended/revoked license. Her bail was $2,000.

Driving under the influence

  • Elma Rosa Barcenas, 31, of the 2400 block of Ruth Fitzgerald Drive, Plainfield, was arrested at 2:07 a.m. at South Washington Street and Olympus Drive, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use. Her bail was $3,000.
  • John William Watkins, 66, of the 800 block of Spring Creek Circle, was arrested at 12:36 a.m. at his home, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to give a signal. His bail was $3,000.
  • Siddharth Chopra, 27, of the 2700 block of Sweetbroom Court, was arrested at 3:20 a.m., police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving the wrong way. His bail was $3,000.

Interfering with an officer

Maxwell Martin Miller, 21, of the 900 block of South Whispering Hills Drive, was arrested at 2:03 a.m. in the 100 block of South Main Street, according to police. He was charged with interfering with an officer. He was charged after refusing commands not to re-enter an evacuated building, police said. His bond was $120.

Possession

  • Michael Maxwell Guess, 27, of the 1800 block of Centre Point Circle, was arrested at 10:08 p.m. in the 100 block of North Loomis Street, police said. He was charged with theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Maximillian Gryphon Salling, 18, of the first block of Olympus Drive, was arrested at 11:39 p.m. in the 1900 block of Templar Drive and Cedarbrook Road, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis, more than 10 grams. Police said he was found sitting in a vehicle after what appeared to be a drug deal, to which he admitted. He was arrested with 14.2 grams of cannabis. His bail was $1,500.

Warrant arrest

Karmin C K Brame, 20, of the 300 block of Oakhurst Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 1:50 a.m. in the 1500 block of Fairway Drive, police said. She was charged on a failure to appear warrant from DuPage County. Her bail was $2,000.

Illegal possession of alcohol

Someone called police about a noise complaint near the 1500 block of Fairway Drive. Police said they found a group of underage drinkers in a garage. The person who rents the garage was cited for providing a place for those younger than 21 to drink. Another person was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

Vehicle burglary

Police said a 60-year-old man in the 800 block of Emerald Drive reported that between 11 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday he purposely left his vehicle unlocked in the driveway of his home to avoid someone breaking a window to burglarize it, and someone did enter his unlocked vehicle but nothing was stolen.

Loud music

Police said they cited Potters Place for excessively loud amplified music from the rear patio at 9:20 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 6

Speeding

Matthew Adam Shirvis, 23, of the 1200 block of Marcey Avenue, Wheaton, was arrested at 11:40 p.m. at West Ogden Avenue and Beaumont Drive, police said. He was charged with speeding 40-plus miles over the speed limit. Police said he was driving 83 mph in a 40 mph zone. His bail was $2,000.

Possession

Nick Alan Tannenbaum, 22, of the 4700 block of Commonwealth Avenue, Western Springs, was arrested at 3:01 a.m. at East 87th Street and Lisson Road, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of drugs and improper lane use. Police reported that the vehicle was stopped for driving on the wrong side of the road and almost striking the responding officer. Those inside the vehicle had been drinking alcohol and or smoking cannabis and Tannenbaum, the driver, was arrested, according to police. His bail was $3,000.

Driving under the influence

  • Wesley Derek Mills, 27, of the 28W600 block of Lester Street, West Chicago, was arrested at 2:11 a.m. at McDowell Road and North Route 59, police said. He was charged with speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to give a signal. His bail was $3,000.
  • Ryon Lawrence Kendrick, 20, of the 12000 block of Pintail Road, Plainfield, was arrested at 10 p.m. at Cantore Road and South Route 59, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, speeding over the limit, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper plate/permit display, driving without insurance and failing to signal. His bail was $3,000.
  • Mark Alan Johnson, 41, of the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive, was arrested at 1:27 p.m. at Rickert Drive and West Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a traffic control signal, making an improper turn at an intersection and an expired registration. His bail was $3,000.

Trespassing

  • [Name removed] of Plainfield was arrested at 9:20 p.m. in the 2800 block of Cedar Glade Drive, police said. He was charged with trespass to a residence. His bail was $1,500.
  • Shardon Christopher Elzey, 18, of the 800 block of North Logan Street, Marion, was arrested at 2:38 a.m. at 75th Street and South Route 59, police said. He was charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle. His bond was $120.

Warrant arrest

Ramon Lamar Miner, 20, of the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. at the , 1350 Aurora Avenue, police said. He was charged on a failure to appear warrant. His bail was $3,000.
